Sheri (Royster) Lord
Last 20 years: After high school, I attended Cumberland College in KY for two years. Then I transferred back to CFCC and graduated with my AA in 1989. From there, I went to FSU and graduated with my BA (political science) in 1991.
After college, I worked for the state two different times, first with the FL Department of Commerce (1992) and then later with the Governor's Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development (1996-1999). In between those two jobs, I worked as a pharmacy technician at Alachua General Hospital (Gainesville) and then at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. I also worked for a non-profit in the Panama City area for about a year after getting married.
Now, I'm a stay-at-home mom, my most challenging job to date. I met my husband, Matthew Lord, while we were both working at Tallahassee Memorial. We got married in March 1999 and lived in the Panama City area until December 2004 when we moved to Lake County. We have 2 daughters - Madison (January 2001) and Audrey (April 2003). Two dogs - Taylor and T.J. - complete our household.

Last 20 years: After high school, I attended Flagler College in St. Augustine. I graduated in 1991 with a BA in Business Administration & minors in Advertising & Economics. I lived in St. Augustine for a few years, worked at an ad specialties firm, an attorney, and then a newspaper.
I married a guy in the Army & we moved to Ludowici, GA for a couple of years. Never should have married him, young & stupid I guess. Ended up leaving him in 1993 & moving to Wichita, KS to be with Shad Williams, DHS class of 1984. Shad & I had dated in high school & guess he really was the guy for me. Shad had a son Alex from his first marriage who lived with us.
We stayed in Wichita until 2002 when we finally realized that Florida was where we wanted to be. We ended up in Safety Harbor, it's between Clearwater & Tampa. I'm working at Nielsen Media Research in the Human Resources department.

Last 20 years: When I graduated from high school I attended SCAD. (Savannah College of Art and Design for 2 years.) I decided that I really wasn't sure that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life so I dropped out of college for 3 years and explored other avenues.
I finally decided to be a teacher and follow in my mother's footsteps. I have been teaching Math to 6th graders for the last 10 years at Dunnellon Middle School. I am still single and I have no children, but I do have a dog who is like my child.
I live on the outskirts of Dunnellon and see many of our old classmates from time to time. Sometimes I get to see them in parent conferences. For the most part I am involved in the same community I grew up in and I love it!

Favorite High School Memories: My favorite high school memories are building the homecoming floats and hanging out with everyone who showed up to help. There was a lot of interesting things taking place at these parties other than building the floats.
