Okay, so this is more a method of travel rather than a place, but does anyone have any experience with this airline? I know that it is a no-frills airline and pretty much everything costs extra. However, the price of the tickets would be half and the airports (to/from) are exactly what we need.

Hello,
I personally have not used them, but one of my best friends flies out of Sanford all the time. She loves them---due to the costs of the tickets. She has a neice in KY, and flies her neice and sister her for a 1/3 of the cost of going out of OIA. I would use them, but they do not fly where I have needed to travel.
Hope this helps,
Donna

My brother has used them several times between Sanford and TN and I haven't heard anything negative at all. And the price is certainly right! Like Donna, I haven't used them personally, but, I have heard nothing bad from Scott at all.

Thanks. We'd be going from Sanford to TN as well. I spoke with someone today at the kids' school. She and her family use it to fly back to Wisconsin to visit. Once we get his work schedule confirmed, I'll check into it. I should be able to get by with checking only one bag, but I'll need to go talk to them to see how the wheelchair situation will be handled.

I've never heard of it, but have to say that even the major airlines are coming up with some REALLY good deals now - we're flying out to Seattle to visit John next week, and got four tickets, round trip, on Delta for $1200.

Also, AMTRAK is much less than I thought it would be - if you can ride coach. Tickets for "two adults and two children" (because there is a limit on how many child tickets you can get per adult ticket) one way to Chicago were about $250. (We're going to a wedding in September. We decided to try the train going there, and flying coming back. We DID upgrade to the little sleeper rooms, so it's more than that, but it was nowhere near as much as I expected it to be.)

Well, I'm still considering flying with them...at some point in time. (It would have been between $300-400 for the three of us to fly round trip.) Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will be able to go in May. Got the kiddos' report cards and the munchkin has 7 absences for the third nine weeks. Anything more than 10 excused absences in a semester is considered excessive. Given the tonsil situation, we're better off saving the absences...just in case.
